COSMOS Malaysia Production Base Breaks Ground

Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia | July 7, 2024 – The groundbreaking ceremony for COSMOS Personal Care Malaysia Production Base was successfully held at Kawasan Perindustrian Tangjun Longsat, 81700 Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia.

During the ceremony, Mr. Mohamad Reduan, Director of MIDA Johor, pledged local government’s full support for this project, stating it would contribute to Malaysia's chemical industry development. Mr. Yongshun Liu, Director and General Manager of SEED (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., expressed confidence in the project's successful execution, while Mr. Juxin Jia, General Manager of CCIE (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., outlined CCIE's commitment to precise project scheduling and high-standard construction.

Mr. Salem Cao, Vice President of COSMOS Group, underscored the strategic significance of this milestone: "Globalization has always been central to COSMOS’ strategy. The establishment of COSMOS Personal Care Malaysia production base, featuring five world-class UV filter manufacturing lines, marks a pivotal step in our international manufacturing footprint. We call upon all stakeholders to maintain the highest safety standards, work with utmost efficiency and dedication, and jointly develop this into a flagship industrial project in Johor Bahru."

The ceremony culminated with the symbolic groundbreaking by key guests, met with enthusiastic applause.

The kickoff of COSMOS Personal Care Malaysia's production base construction represents a significant leap in global manufacturing, enhancing UV filter production capacity and market competitiveness while contributing to Malaysia's economic development.
